Jodie Kane & Jo Ambrose

Jodie Kane Jodie Kane serendipitously stumbled into the business analysis world over 20 years ago and found her sweet spot. Her focus is about: making organizations + the people that make them great, better, and helping people to feel valued and  to be value focused. Her approach is about: invitational coaching and human engagement that empowers and opens space for teams to be self-organizing high performers focused on trust, value and continuous, active retrospection.

Jo Ambrose has over twenty-five years experience in the information technology field in business analysis, project management, team leadership, and software development.  She has worked in various industries including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, financial, manufacturing, and aerospace technology.  Jo recently worked at GlaxoSmithKline as a CIA Operations Manager and has coached/mentored recent graduates in their early careers with GSK.  Jo is a Certified Business Analyst and Certified Business Coach.  Jo has been a member of the IIBA since 2006 and is VP of Marketing for the chapter.


Lori Stevens
Membership Management & Board Secretary

Lori Stevens is a Senior Business Systems Analyst at F.A. Davis Company, Philadelphia, PA. F.A. Davis is a privately-owned publisher of medical, nursing and health professions textbooks and e-learning products. With broad experience in process improvement and systems design and support in the printing packaging and publishing industries, Lori’s current role focuses on process improvement and support of business systems. She has been a member of IIBA for 5 years. Lori received her B.A. in Mathematics and Business from Gettysburg College and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Villanova University. Lori resides in Berwyn, PA.


Darrell Swanson
VP, Programs

Darrell Swanson is a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) serving in Business Analysis and Project Management IT roles at Merck & Co. in West Point, PA.  Darrell has an extensive background in software and business process improvements, system design, and organizational change management in non-profit and corporate organizations.  Darrell has always believed that one person can make a difference, but together we can make a change. He has been an active member of the IIBA Philadelphia Chapter since June 2012. Darrell holds a Doctorate in Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Master’s of Science in Information Systems from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Organization Psychology from Purdue University.  Darrell and his wife, Kristen, live at Lake Nockamixon in Bucks County, PA.

Steve Fluharty

Steve Fluharty is a Business Analyst at Pearson VUE, a global publishing and educational company based in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Steve has 35 years of experience in the fields of IT and engineering. He has been a member of the IIBA since 2010. That same year, he became involved in the restart of the IIBA DC chapter, and went on to serve as Event Coordinator and President. He achieved CBAP in September 2012. Steve worked in Washington, DC for over three years as a Business Analyst at the US Department of State. Prior to that, Steve worked at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Allentown. Most of his career, Steve has worked in software development. He likes the role of BA because it is the link between the customers and the developers. Steve has a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.


Glenn Hughes

VP, Professional Development

Glenn Hughes is a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) with proven experience in deploying and supporting Electronic Content Management Systems for the Life Sciences Industry. Glenn's background as a Senior Business Analyst includes implementing an EDMS at Teva Pharmaceuticals for submitting drug applications electronically to the FDA, and a Medical Imaging Archival system for Merck Inc. Glenn has also contributed subject matter to the Content Strategy Alliance’s handbook of tools, templates and best practices for content strategy practitioners.  He has been an actively involved with the IIBA Philadelphia Chapter since October 2008. Glenn holds an MBA from West Chester University, and an undergraduate degree from Temple University with a concentration in Computer Science.  Glenn lives in Wayne, PA with his wife and 3 children.
