Projects and people get “stuck” for various reasons.  Although many methods & metrics exist to determine progress has stopped, your intuition may be the best indicator.  Few people or organizations are willing to admit they are responsible, even in part, for stalling a project.  This is where business analysts can use their natural coaching talents to help the team identify blockages.  We will review business analysis techniques from the BABoK and coaching techniques for business analysts to exercise with projects to get their projects from stuck to success.

Jo Ambrose has over twenty-five years experience in the information technology field in business analysis, project management, team leadership, and software development.  She has worked in various industries including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, financial, manufacturing, and aerospace technology.  Jo currently works at GlaxoSmithKline as a CIA Operations Manager and has coached/mentored recent graduates in their early careers with GSK.  Jo is a Certified Business Analyst and Certified Business Coach.  Jo has been a member of the IIBA since 2006 and is VP of Marketing for the chapter.
