A Simulationist's Framework for Business Analysis:  How To Unsnarl A Problem from the Middle

Bob has developed his own framework for doing business and systems analysis over decades of developing and applying simulations and tools to solve problems in many industries, which he'll review as a specific restatement of the general material from the BABOK.  Bob will then describe some approaches the framework gives you to sort out complicated problems if you're dropped into the middle of them without clear guidance.  Think of it this way: if you want to get somewhere, it helps to know where you're going.

Our Guest Speaker - Robert Churchill

Robert P. Churchill (CBAP, CBDA, PMP, CSPO, CSM, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) has combined mechanical and software engineering skills to build and use continuous and discrete-event computer simulation systems for nearly 30 years. He served in a vendor or consultant role through every life cycle phase in the fields of pulp and paper, nuclear power, document imaging for business process re-engineering, insurance, metals, HVAC, inspections, medical practices, security, evacuation, emergency response, logistics, and maintenance and reliability. He's been a developer, architect, field engineer, data collector, IV&V agent, project/program/product manager, and business/data/systems analyst on desktop, networked, high-performance computing (HPC), and web-based platforms. He has built real-time, interactive, and fire-and-forget systems for analysis, design, process improvement, industrial control, operations research, and operator training.  Please visit his website at www.rpchurchill.com.
